About Cynthia Paulsen

I believe spirituality should be lived, not just studied. Our spiritual life shapes how we think, how we respond to change, and how we show up in the world. My work is rooted in the understanding that our patterns of thought influence our experience. By gently shifting perspective, we can cultivate greater clarity, resilience, and peace.

For 15 years, I have studied and practiced New Thought and interfaith spirituality, exploring practical tools such as meditation, affirmative prayer, conscious awareness, and energy-based healing practices. Today, I primarily share these ideas through my books and writing, as well as through speaking, teaching, and one-on-one spiritual guidance. It is a great privilege to help individuals apply spiritual principles in ways that are accessible, grounded, and life-giving.

I hold a Doctorate of Divinity from Emerson Theological Institute and am ordained as both an Interfaith and Religious Science Minister. I am also a licensed Divine Science Practitioner and a certified Level II Reiki Practitioner. These years of study and experience have deepened my conviction that spirituality does not belong to one path or tradition — it belongs to all of us.

I am the author of Undoing the Knots: Reclaiming Our Good and That’s a Good Thought: Daily Wisdom in Uncertain Times, books created to offer grounded spiritual encouragement and practical tools for everyday living. Through my writing and ongoing exploration of practical spirituality, I hope to reach those who are spiritually curious and those who seek thoughtful, steady guidance in a changing world.

I live in Brookings, Oregon, with my husband Gary and our Jack Russell named Joy. My greatest hope is that through my work, people rediscover their own inner wisdom and the goodness that is always available to them.
