What Is a Spiritual Practitioner?

A professional licensed spiritual practitioner is a person of high consciousness and deep understanding who has committed themself to spiritual study, practice, and healing. Practitioners use prayer to assist people in uplifting their minds, hearts, and spirits. They serve not only their spiritual communities, but all humanity. Practitioner training involves 6-8 courses taken over 3-4 years, depending on the spiritual organization or school. Practitioners study the truth of our oneness and unity with the Divine, knowing all life is in God, of God, expressing as God. I was trained with required prerequisites by the Centers for Spiritual Living Organization, and I completed my practitioner training with the Divine Science School of Metaphysical Christianity.
A session with a spiritual practitioner is similar to a session with other types of therapists, except that 1) spiritual principle is applied and 2) recurrent appointments are rarely necessary. I know the truth of my client’s wholeness and work with them to release negative thought patterns and false, limiting beliefs. If you are experiencing some kind of difficulty and were to be my client, I would work with you to establish a new belief. During our session, I would speak an affirmative prayer (also called a spiritual mind treatment) for the realization and demonstration of your new belief. If this process seems appealing, I encourage you to reach out to me. All you have to bring is an open mind and your faith in the possibility of the outcome you wish to see. Let me (not me, but Spirit, do the rest!)

How does this process work? For starters, an appointment is made. Your time is valuable, and so is mine. Our time together is a commitment for a specific purpose. (If you aren’t ready to schedule, but would instead like to ask some questions, please reach out to me so we can see if this might be a good fit for you. You may use the contact form here.)
What can you expect during your scheduled practitioner appointment? I offer virtual sessions (where you will be welcomed into our virtual meeting via Zoom or FaceTime) or in-person sessions in Brookings, Oregon. A piece of calming meditation music is played, and I pray a short opening prayer. I believe that when two or more are gathered, the great I AM is present. Our intention is to shift our awareness to this truth. I consider this time with you to be holy and sacred.
Then, it is your time to talk. Something made you reach out for help. You are free to tell me about whatever you might be experiencing that you wish to be different. I have worked with clients desiring all kinds of things, including physical healing, increased prosperity, help getting organized, help seeking job opportunities, help finding a loving relationship, clarity around a project, etc. I may ask you things like: “What is the outcome you wish to see here?” Or “What is the divine God quality you are wanting to experience in this situation?” This helps me get an idea how to best pray for you. We may discuss thought patterns and what your past beliefs might be regarding your current experience. I may have resources and suggestions for you, such as books to read, videos to watch, or spiritual practices to try.
How long does a session last? The entire practitioner session process usually lasts between 30-45 minutes. After a time of listening and discussing, I pray an affirmative prayer or spiritual mind treatment with you, affirming the truth of your experience, giving thanks for the revelation of your truth.
You may be wondering what you can talk about in a practitioner session. The answer is: Anything. Practitioner sessions are private. Because I am both a licensed practitioner and ordained Religious Science Minister, I abide by a moral code of ethics that I take very seriously. Unless express permission is granted, what is shared in a session is never shared with anyone else. (An example would be, if I feel that a spiritually trained colleague can offer additional assistance, I may ask your permission to share your situation so that supplementary prayer can be offered.)
Does this cost money? Yes. I charge a $50 fee for my scheduled practitioner sessions. My services are available to all, and I don’t withhold prayer because a person feels financially challenged. Instead, additional prayer would be done regarding the client’s recognition and acceptance of Divine Abundance.
If you are in need of spiritual assistance, I invite you to reach out to me using the contact form here. Watch my website and follow me on social media for upcoming small group affirmative prayer sessions, where individuals can check in with a prayer concern and receive a spiritual mind treatment in a group setting. These sessions are a great way to get a boost of positivity, learn about affirmative prayer, meet like minded people, and feel spiritually supported.
